Working Women’s Dilemma in South Korea (2013)

Career Women’s Dilemma in South Korea (Working Women’s Dilemma) is an infographic that addresses the social issue of women’s career interruption caused by their responsibilities for conventional roles. In Korea, women’s social status and employment rate is relatively high, even overtake men’s employment rate right after graduating college nowadays. But, their career graph is suddenly dropped when they enter their thirty, going through some life change marriage and pregnant. This situation is also related to the low fertility rate in my country, South Korea. By gathering and analyzing data related to the issue, I highlight the crisis and conflict situations in their career of modern women who are highly educated, but face a serious choice between career and family.
